Fiber-y Links
Visit my Equilters.com where I post my
quilting articles. I write articles on all aspects of
quilting, dyeing, sewing, etc. For a list of all my articles check out
this Features
by Topic Page. There are now more than 100 articles I've written there
to browse and many free quilting patterns. There is a Search Link to
help you find things.
Barbara Breiter has a wonderful
site of knitting resources at Knit A
Bit with many free knitting patterns.
Alden Amos and Stephenie
Gaustad have a web site - Order the new Alden
Amos' Big Book of Handspinning and ask AA to autograph it for
you!
TAF - Textile Arts Forum was
started by Susan Druding in 1993 on Delphi.
The forum/chat areas are free - www.delphi.com/textile .
Spinners, knitters and weavers hang out there - including Alden and
Stephenie.
Ashford Handicrafts has an
informative Web
site with images and information about the full range of spinning,
weaving and other items from their place in New Zealand.
Search Engines
One of my favorite things to do on the Web is to choose a few keyword
terms and go "fishing" for sites with my favorite search engines: I used
to use Alta Vista Search most at http://www.altavista.com/.
But it isn't what it was a few years ago!
My favorite now is GOOGLE - at www.google.com. If you want to
search just the Newsgroups, go to http://www.deja.com/
(which is now owned by Google).
