Snowball Blocks in Quilts

  Quilts made with Snowball Blocks
plus Attic Window, 54-40, Eccentric Star or Ohio Star

These quilt tops show some of the ways to combine Nine Patch and other blocks.

Both quilts above combine the Snowball with Attic Window
- the all black and white gives a "snowy" look to the snowball blocks.

Using a block with a diagonal emphasis
such as 54-40 above makes secondary
shapes form with the snowball block.

This sample top above uses Ohio Star
and I've used Electric Quilt 4 to put
a look of quilting into the snowball blocks.

This small wall quilt would make a nice holiday quilt
- again I've shown some fancy quilting in the snowball blocks.

The Eccentric Star blocks makes
an interesting pattern as it interlaces with the Snowball blocks.

The Attic Window block has a strong diagonal
and with different color placements can make
a very interesting background for the Snowballs.
This almost looks like an outer space quilt to me.

A strong grid can develop with the Ohio Star block
plus Snowball if the colors in the corners
of both blocks are close or the same.
