Gauge:
20 sts and 28 rows = 4 in stockinette stitch. The row gauge is very important
in this pattern. For correct sizing, be sure to do a gauge swatch.
Center Panel: make 2
CO 32
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Begin checkerboard pattern as follows keeping the first and last st in St St
Row 3: K11. P10, K11
Row 4: P11, K10, P11
Repeat rows 3 & 4 four more times
Row 13: K1, P10, K10, P10, K1
Row 14: P1, K10, P10, K10, K1
Repeat rows 13 & 14 four more times
Repeat rows 3-14 until work measure 21 1/2 (55cm) from CO
BO all sts loosely
Front & Back:
Pick up 118 sts along the long right side of the center panel
Knit in St St until piece measures 1 1/2 (4cm) from PU row ending with a WS row
Shoulder shaping
Next Row: BO 11 (for side of funnel neck) and K rem sts
Work next 1(1, 3, 3) rows in St St.
Next Row: K1, K2tog, K rem sts
Dec 1 st every 2nd(4th, 6th, 8th) row 3 times as follows:
Knit 1 (3, 5, 7) row(s) in St St.
Next Row: K1, K2tog, K rem sts
Repeat these 2 (4, 6, 8) rows 2 more times
Knit 3 rows in St St
Dec 1 st every 2nd row 3 times as follows:
