Cuff:
With WY, CO 16 sts. With Puffin, work cable cuff as follows:
Rows 1, 3, 7: K1, p1, k1, p1, k8, p1, k1, p1, k1
Rows 2, 4, 6, 8: K1, p1, k2, p8, k2, p1, k1
Row 5: K1, p1, k1, p1, C8F, p1, k1, p1, k1
Rep these 8 rows for approx 8" (9.5", 11") [20.3 cm (24, 28 cm), ending
with Row 8. Carefully snip and remove waste yarn and slip these sts onto another
needle. Graft sts from both needles tog.
Leg:
With RS of cuff facing, PU 36 (48, 52) sts. Work in seed st as follows for
1.5" - 2" (4, 5 cm)
Rnd 1: (K1, p1) around
Rnd 2: (P1, k1) around
EOP Heel Flap. Worked on 18 (24, 26) sts on N1:
With RS facing, work back and forth as follows:
Row 1: (Sl 1, K1) across
Rows 2, 4: Sl 1, p across
Row 3: Sl 1, (Sl 1, K1) across to last st, K1
Rep these 4 rows until 18 (24, 26) rows are complete.
Turn Heel:
Row 1: (RS) Sl 1, k9 (12, 13), skp, k1, turn.
Row 2: Sl 1, p3, p2tog, p1, turn
Row 3: Sl 1, k4, skp, k1, turn
Row 4: Sl 1, p5, p2tog, p1, turn
Row 5: Sl 1, k6, skp, k1, turn
Row 6: Sl 1, p7, p2tog, p1, turn
Size Small Only:
Row 7: Sl 1, k8, skp, turn
Row 8: Sl 1, p8, p2tog, turn
Size Medium and Large Only:
Row 7: Sl 1, k8, skp, k1, turn
Row 8: Sl 1, p9, p2tog, p1, turn
Row 9: Sl 1, k10, skp, k 1, turn
Row 10: Sl 1, p11, p2tog, p1, turn
Size Large Only:

Heel Gusset:
Work across heel flap sts on N1. With tip of N1, PU 9 (12, 13) sts
along side of heel. PU a st from row below first instep st
to prevent a hole [10 (13, 14) sts picked up].
N2: Cont in seed st across instep sts
With the point on N1, PU a st from row below first heel st to prevent a hole. PU
9 (12, 13) sts along right side of heel [10 (13,
14) sts picked up].
Work remainder of sts on N1 (heel).
Continue in seed st on N2 (only) until you reach toe.
Shape Gusset:
Dec Round:
N1: K1, skp, work to 3 sts before end of N1, k2tog, k1.
N2: Work in seed st
Round 2: Work even on both needles (no dec)
Rep these 2 rounds until there are 36 (48, 52) sts remaining.
Foot:
N1: Bottom of Foot
N2: Instep sts
Cont working in rounds until foot measures 7.5" (8", 8.75") [19 cm (20, 22 cm)]
or approx 1.5" (3.8 cm) shorter than desired length of foot.
Complete sts on N2.
Shape Round Toe:
Rnd 1: (K7 [10, 11], k2tog) 4 times
Rnds 2, 4, 6, 8: K
Rnd 3: (K6 [9, 10], k2tog) 4 times
Rnd 5: (K5 [8, 9], k2tog) 4 times
Rnd 7: (K4 [7, 8], k2tog) 4 times
Rnd 9: (K3 [6, 7], k2tog) 4 times
Rnd 10: (K2 [5, 6], k2tog) 4 times
Rnd 11: (K1 [4, 5], k2tog) 4 times
Size Medium and Large Only
Rnd 12: (K3 [4], k2tog) 4 times
Rnd 13: (K2 [3], k2tog) 4 times
Rnd 14: (K1 [2], k2tog) 4 times
Size Large Only
Rnd 15: (K1, k2tog) 4 times
Break yarn, leaving tail several inches long. Draw yarn through remaining 8
sts, pull tight and fasten off. Weave in ends.
Make second slipper.
Put them on for warm feet!
