Materials: Crystal Palace
Crème
60/40 wool/combed
silk 2 - 50 gr balls of Crème
#2033 "teal lake"
Crystal Palace Bamboo
DP needles 2 US or size needed to obtain gauge
Directions (cuff down) Cast on 64 Sts and work 1 ½ inches of K2 P2 ribbing.
Heart pattern worked over 16 Sts.
Round 1: P5, YO, K2tog Tbl K 3, K2tog, YO P4 Round 2 P5, K7, P 4 Round 3: P3, P2tog, YO, K1, YO, K2tog Tbl, K 1, K2tog, YO, K1, YO, P2tog, P2 Round 4 P4, K9, P3 Round 5: P2, P2tog, YO, K3, YO, (SL 1, K2tog, PSSO), YO, K3,
YO, P2tog, P2
[last sts changed to P2 from P1 - 05/07,

Diamonds: Round 1: P1, K7, P1, K7 repeat around Round 2and all even rounds K all Sts Round 3: P2, K5, P3, K5, P1 repeat around Round 5: P3, K3, P5, K3, P2 repeat around Round 7: P4, K1, P7, K1, P3 repeat around Round 9: P around Round 11: same as round 7 Round 13: same as round 5 Round 15: same as round 3 Round 17: same as round 1 K 10 rounds before starting heel
Heel: Working with half of the Sts: Row 1: SL 1 then K across Row 2: SL 1, K2, Purl to last 3 Sts, then K last 3 Sts. Repeat these 2 rows for a total of 12 garter ridges ending after a Row 2
repeat. Heel turn and Decrease: Row 1: SL 1, K18, K2tog, turn. Row 2: SL 1, P6, P2tog, Turn. Row 3: SL 1, K6, K2tog, Turn. Repeat rows 2&3 until you have worked the entire heel flap. Pickup and Knit 12 Sts on the side of the heel flap (these will be the Slip
Stitch loops), K across the instep Sts, Pickup and K 12 Sts from the side of
the heel flap. Knit the foot of the sock to within 1 ½ inches of total length desired and
start the toe decreases. Toe Decreases:
Round 1, 4, 7, 9 and 11: K to within last 2 Sts of needle 1
and K2tog, needle 2: SL 1, K1, PSSO, knit to within 2 sts of end of needle
and K2tog. Needle 3: SL 1, K1, PSSO K to end. Round 2, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10: Knit around. Round 12 and all remaining rounds are the same as round 1 until you have 16
stitches total remaining. Cut yarn and Kitchener Stitch the toe closed. Weave in all ends.
