mm) single points, or size to
obtain gauge;
Crystal Palace Bamboo crochet hook size I
(5.5 mm)
Accessories: Stitch holders, ring markers
Be sure to do a gauge swatch - due to the elasticity of Bamboozle you
should knit swatch, let it rest overnight and measure gauge.
Finished Measurements:
Chest circumference: 36” (40”, 44”, 48”, 52”)
Length: 26” (26”, 28”, 28”, 30”)
Gauge: 4½ sts = 1” and 6 rows = 1” in Dot Stitch on
size 9 needles

Continue in pattern as established, until piece measures 6” from beginning,
ending with a WS row.

Shape Shoulders: Work 17 (18, 18, 19, 19) sts. Place these sts on holder
for right shoulder. BO 30 (30, 32, 32, 34) sts for back neck. Work to end of
row. BO 6 sts at beg of next 2 WS rows. BO rem 5 (6, 6, 7, 7) sts. Return sts on
holder to needle and rejoin yarn at neck edge. Work 1 WS row. BO 6 sts at beg of
next 2 RS rows. BO rem 5 (6, 6, 7, 7) sts.
Front:

35 (40, 43, 46, 49) sts in pattern as established. Place these sts on holder for
left front. M 1, then work in pattern to end of row – 41 (46, 51, 55, 60) sts.
Next row (WS): BO 5 (5, 7, 8, 10) sts, work in pattern to end of row.
Next row (RS): K 1, work sts 12 – 22 of Lace Panel, sl marker, SSK, work
in Dot St to last 3 sts, K2tog, K 1.
Next row (and all WS rows): Work in pattern as established.
Repeat last 2 rows 2 (6, 8, 10, 12) times more, then continue decreasing at neck
edge only 13 (9, 8, 6, 1) times more – 17 (18, 18, 19, 19) sts. Continue without
shaping until same length as back to shoulder. BO 6 sts at beg of next 2 WS
rows. BO rem 5 (6, 6, 7, 7) sts.
Return sts on holder to needle and rejoin yarn at neck edge. Incr 1 by picking
up and purling 1 st at neck edge, then work in pattern to end of row.
Next row (RS): K 1, SSK, work in Dot St to 2 sts before marker, K2tog, sl
marker, work sts 1 – 11 of Lace Panel, K 1.
Next row (and all WS rows): Work in pattern as established.
Repeat last 2 rows 2 (6, 8, 10, 12) times more, then continue decreasing
at neck edge only 13 (9, 8, 6, 1) times more – 17 (18, 18, 19, 19) sts. Continue

Work in Seed St for 1”. Change to larger needles.

Lace Panel from Chart, PM, work 11 (13, 13, 16, 18) in Dot St.
Continue in patterns as established, incr 1 st at beg and end of every 6th row
12 (16, 16, 17, 18) times – 68 (80, 80, 88, 94) sts. Continue without shaping
until piece measures 17½” (18”, 18”, 18½”, 18½”) from beginning, ending with a
WS row.
Next row: BO 5 (5, 7, 8, 10 sts at beg of next 2 rows, then decr 1 st at
beg and end of every WS row 3 (7, 9, 11, 13) times. BO rem 52 (56, 50, 50, 48)
sts.
Finishing:
Sew front to back at shoulders.
Sew sleeves to armholes.
Sew side seams, leaving lower 5” of seam open for slit.
Sew sleeve seams.
Work 1 round of single crochet around neck opening.
