Mochi Plus

Druding
A decorative cowl that has
the look of an Egyptian collar.
Materials:
2 - 50 gm balls
Mochi Plus in #569 lake trail
Crystal Palace Bamboo 16" Circular
needle size US 9 or size to
get gauge.
Gauge:
10 sts/2 inches (20 sts/10 cm) in K2, P2 rib.
Note: Gauge is not crucial in this pattern.
Size: woman's one-size-fits-all
Abbreviations:
CO- cast on; K- Knit; K2tog - knit 2 sts together;
M1 - make one (pick up bar between sts & place on left needle); P- Purl; PM – place marker;
rep - repeat;
rnd(s) - round(s);
tog - together;
st(s)- stitch(es); St st - stockinette stitch; YO - yarn over;
Instructions:
CO 88 sts.
Join, being careful not to twist. PM (Place marker).
W
(approx. 8.5-9 inches).
Join 2nd ball of Mochi Plus by overlapping ends for at least 6-8 sts.
Work K2, P2 rib to marker.
At marker, begin working in K1, P1 rib and M1 st between every st from original
K2, P2 rib [176 sts]. Cont in K1, P1 rib until approx. half the ball is gone
(approx. 2-2.5 inches) and you reach marker.
Convert the K2, P2 rib into K1, P1 rib by M1 st in P after each K and M1 st in K
at each P.
Continue for approx. 1.5 inches - or until almost out of yarn and bind off
loosely. (Remember this is a long edge to bind off so take care not to run out
of bind off yarn.)
Soak the finished cowl in warm water with a little liquid dishwashing detergent,
rinse, roll into big towel to remove excess moisture and block flat to try.
