Here is 2nd version of this Pinwheel Sweater with simpler shaping and larger sizing as a drop shoulder style instead of Raglan style and a little easier to knit for less experienced knitters.

Sizes:
Finished chest measurements: 34 (39”)
[Note: See the drop shoulder version for a sweater sized to 48" using the same center pinwheel design.]

Materials:
6 (7) - 50 gr balls Crystal Palace
Taos color #08 "Sedona"
for Size 34”: 26” circular needles sizes 5 & 7 US and double pointed needles size 7 US or SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE
for Size 39”: 26” circular needles sizes 6 & 8 US and double pointed needles size 8 US or SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE
[Note: some knitter got the gauge on 7/9 size needles rather than 6/8 - be sure to check your gauge!]

Gauge:

for 39”: 18 st = 4” on US 8 in St st

Back:
Note: The back and front are worked in the rnd until you beg short row patterns.

CO 12 st using circular cast on method and dpn’s. Divide stitches evenly over dpn’s. Join and begin working in the rnd. Or see method using circular needle here and more on how to use DPNs.
Rnd 1: k12 even
Rnd 2: (yo, k1) 12 times
Rnd 3: (p1, k1) 12 times
Rnd 4: (yo, k2) 12 times
Rnd 5, 6, 7: (p1, k2) 12 times

Continue increasing in this manner, increasing 12 st every other rnd 2 times, then 12 st every 4th rnd once until there are 22 st between each yo (276 st total).

Note: You will need to change to circular needles (larger size) when the circle gets too large to hold on the dpn’s.
