Splash 'Collar Royale'

Materials:
2 - 100 gr. ball of Splash (#201 ivory white)
1- ball of Splash (#202 jet black)
[Note: if you start with 2 balls each of black and 2 balls of white you can make 2 complete Collar Royales with reversed colors!]
Crystal Palace Bamboo or Daisy Needles size #13 or #15 (test knit to get gauge)
Satin Ribbon to tie collar
Gauge: 2 stitches per inch
Stitches: Stockinette and intarsia

Instructions:
With white Splash cast on 93 stitches. Work all in stockinette.
Work intarsia pattern where black Splash is introduced:
R1-3: K in stockinette in white
R4: K10 in white, *K3 in black, K10 in white* between * 6 times, K3 in black, K2 in white
R5-7: K in stockinette in white
R8: K2 in white, *K3 in black, K10 in white* repeat between *s 7X.
[edited to correct repeat numbers 7/07]Repeat Rows 1-8, 1 more time then work Rows 1-6. [Or for deeper length, continue until you are almost out of yarn.]
Bind off.[Note: it is OK to knot the black splash on the inside of the collar to secure it. Do not try to carry the black Splash across the long section of white.]
Finishing:
Tie in ends. Thread satin ribbon through one edge and leave length for bow to tie.
