Back Length: 20 in.
MATERIALS
5 - 100 gm/115 yd balls of Crystal Palace Shag in Rose Quartz #7206
One pair Crystal Palace Bamboo Needles in size 13 U.S. or size required to
obtain gauge.
One large button
GAUGE
2-1/2 sts and 4 rows = 1 inch with Crystal Palace SHAG in St st.
TO SAVE TIME, BE SURE TO TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE. (See Tip HERE for doing gauge swatch with eyelash type yarns)
BACK: CO 60 sts. Work in St st, dec 1 st each end on the 23rd and 39th rows - 56 sts. Work even until piece
measures 10-1/2 in. from beg.
Shape armhole: BO 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each end of row 5 times - 36 sts.
Work even until piece measures 19'/2 in. from beg.
Shape shoulders: Bind Off (BO) 3 sts at beg of next 4 rows, then 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows. BO rem 16 sts.
RIGHT FRONT: Cast on 30 sts. Work in St st st, dec 1 st at side edge on the 23rd and 39th rows - 28 sts. Work even until
piece measures 10'-1/2 in. from beg, ending with a right side row.
Shape armhole: BO 5 sts at armhole edge once. Dec 1 st at armhole edge at end of row 5 times - 18 sts.
Work even until piece measures 18 in. from beg, ending with a wrong side row.
Shape neck:
BO 7 sts at neck edge once. Dec 1 st at beg of next neck edge row, 10 sts.
Work even until piece measures 19-1/2 in. from beg, ending with a right side row.
Shape shoulder: BO 3 sts at shoulder edge at beg of end of row, then 4 sts once.
LEFT FRONT: Work same as Right front, rev shaping and making a buttonhole on 4th to last row as follows: K 2, BO 4, K 2, finish row.
Next row: P, Cast on 2 sts of BO sts.
SLEEVES: CO 48 sts. Work in St st, dec 1 st each end every 16th row 3 times, 42 sts. Work even until piece
measures 15 in. from beg.
Shape cap: BO 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st each end of row 7 times, then every 3 rows 3 times. BO rem 12 sts.
FINISHING: Sew shoulder seams. Sew Sleeves in place.
Sew side Sleeve seams. Sew button on Right Front opposite the buttonhole.
