A Free Knit Afghan or Stole Pattern - Easy to Knit WR 039 Designed by Dawn Leeseman for Crystal Palace Yarns
The printed colors of Waikiki make a play of
colors across the surface while the Kid Merino adds softness and an elegant
drape to the lace. This is an easy lace pattern for anyone who has not knit lace
before and working on size 11 needles means it works up quickly. Materials: Gauge: 10-1/2 sts/16 rows rows = 4", 1 strand of each
yarn held together, in lace pattern stitch, blocked. Be sure to do a gauge
swatch. Abbreviations: BO-bind off; CO-cast on; k-knit;
k2tog-knit 2 stitches together; p-purl; rep-repeat; ssk-slip, slip k2tog through
back loop; tog-together; yo-yarn over. Begin Crest of the Wave Pattern (multiple of 12 +5) as
follows: Work Rows 1-12; 18 (7) times. Knit 4 rows. BO all
sts loosely. Weave in all ends and block out lace pattern, taking care
that the top BO edge has the same shape waves as CO edge.
