Raggedy Jacket - knit side-to-side

Raggedy (a wool blend fringed ribbon tape
yarn - see color card here),

Raggedy color 2117 (purple) and 4 balls of color 9164 (mardigras mix)
Needles: Crystal Palace Bamboo: 36" size 11 circulars
Size: 42 (oversize)
Gauge: 3 sts = 1" 4 rows = 1"
Note:
Sweater is knit from the left sleeve to the right sleeve.
Left Sleeve
Cast on 34 sts.
Work seed st for 10 rows [1.5"].
Work in st st, purling first row.
Inc 1 st on each side every 4 rows 10x.
Then every 6 rows 3x.
Continue in st st until piece meas 18"
[row 61 completed counting from when you began st st](60 sts).

RS: Leaving sleeve sts on needle, CO 40 sts using cable cast on. K these 40 sts, k 30 sts of sleeve, place marker (shoulder seam), k remaining 30 sleeve sts. Turn and CO 40 sts [140 sts] and p across the row (counts as row 1) Work even for 7.8" [31 rows]
Front Neck Shaping
Note: You will be working Back and Left Front at the same time using two
separate balls of yarn. You will be shaping the left front neck using one ball
of yarn and knitting straight with 2nd ball of yarn on the back.
On next RS row (row 32), work to marker. Remove. With a second ball of yarn bind off 1 sts, complete row.
WS: Work to 2 sts before front neck edge, dec1
RS: At neck edge, bind off 1 sts.
WS: Work to 2 sts before front neck edge, dec1
RS: At neck edge, bind off 2 sts.
WS: Work to 2 sts before front neck edge, dec1
RS: At neck edge, bind off 2 sts.
WS: Work to 2 sts before front neck edge, dec1
You have now completed the Left Front of the Jacket and only the Back stitches are left on the needle.
Begin Right Front of Jacket
WS: With back sts on needle, with a second ball of yarn cast on 60 sts for
the Right Front.
P across CO sts and then back sts (row 1).
Work 7 more rows, ending with RS completed.

Right Front Neck Shaping
Reverse left front neck shaping by casting on on RS rows and inc 1 on WS rows at neck edge:

Completing the Body
Work across all 140 sts, rejoining front to the back at the neck edge. Break yarn from second ball. Work even for 7.8" [31
rows-total 47 rows]
On next RS row, bind off 40 sts, work next 60 sts, bind off remaining 40 sts. Break yarn.
Work Second Sleeve
Attach yarn and work right sleeve 60 sts, reversing shaping:
Work 5 rows st st, purling first row.
Dec 1 st at each end next and every 6th row 3 x.
Dec 1 st at each end every 4th row 10x.
Work 3 rows even (piece meas 15.5" same as other sleeve). (34 sts)
Work seed st for 10 rows [1.5"].
Bind Off loosely.
Finishing
Seam Sides and Sleeves
Body Rib
With RS facing, pick up 151 sts around entire bottom. Work seed st for 10 rows (2.5"). Bind Off in pat.
Neck
With RS facing, pick up 17 right front neck sts, 32 back neck sts, 17 left front neck sts [66 sts].
Work seed st for 4 rows (1"). Bind off in pattern.
Bands
Right Front
With RS facing, pick up 70 sts. Work 4 rows (1") in seed st.
Bind off in pat.
Left Front
Repeat instructions for right front.
