Shag eyelash + Raggedy fringed tape
Easy Garter Scarf

2 balls of Raggedy + 1 ball of Shag eyelash yarn is enough for 2 scarves
each 7 inches wide x 60 inches long
Or, make it wider and longer for a shawl wrap

Instructions:

Materials: 2 balls Raggedy: 1 each: A#2178-velvet and B#2177-grape
and 1 ball of Shag #7273-red jewel print.
Crystal Palace Bamboo circular 26" size 13 needles
(note that this will make 2 of the scarf size shown, or make a larger stole/shawl)

Cast on 100 sts Very LOOSELY (if you tend to cast on tightly, do your cast on with size 15 needles and then change to 13s for the knitting, then use 15s to cast off).

Entire scarf is worked in Garter St (knit all rows)

Cast on 100 sts using Raggedy color A.
 

Rows 1-2: Knit with Raggedy color A
Rows 3-6: Knit with Shag
Rows 7-8: Knit with Raggedy color A
Rows 9-10: Knit with Raggedy color B
(Note: When changing colors I cut off a tail of approx. 7 inches and tie on with a tail of the same length to start making a fringe.)
Repeat rows 3-10 once
Repeat rows 3-6 once
Knit 2 rows with Raggedy color B
Cast off LOOSELY using Color B

Be sure to cast off VERY loosely to avoid a bowed, tight edge for scarf. Use size 15 needles if you have a tendency to cast off too tightly.

 

I finished knitting this on a plane and got a lot of comments from the flight attendants who passed by my aisle seat on how great it looked and felt. It's a very soft, cozy feeling scarf.
