| Request:
It is hard to gauge the quantity of yarn for a striped sweater
without knitting all the sizes. We plan to knit another size
using Poof (same gauge
yarn) instead of Punk and
will post a photo. We'd love to have feedback about how much
yarn you used for your striped jacket and also a photo of yours.
Email to cpyinfo -at- straw.com and let us hear from you. We'll
post your photo and add your feedback to this pattern.
thanks! |
Finishing
Seam Sides and Sleeves with flat seam or mattress stitch to avoid bulky
seam.
How to Sew a Flat
Seam - see link on our TIPS page HERE
Neck Finishing
With RS facing, using Party in single strand, pick up 11 bound off sts from
right front, pick up 5 side neck sts, pick up 26 back neck sts, pick up 5
left side neck sts, pick up 11 bound off sts. Working back and forth, in
garter st, work 2 rows. Bind off loosely.
Finishing Bands: Right Front
Using single end of Party Ribbon - With RS facing, pick up 46 sts. Work 2
rows in garter st. Bind off.
Left Front
Repeat instructions for right front.
After finishing band for neck and both sides, using single
end of Party Ribbon - Work 2 rows with single crochet to finish edge. Yvonne
crocheted 2 extra rows of crochet around the entire bottom and front bands
on our model sweater to make the wider front band and edging of the sides
and back as you see in the photo. Decide yourself for this finishing.
Button Loop if you desire a button closure: Using single
end of Party Ribbon - Crochet or I-cord a button loop at top right front for
top closure to fit button of your choice.
