Raggedy Wrap-Stitch Scarf
from 2 colors of Crystal Palace Raggedy
Raggedy is a fringe edged tape/ribbon yarn in a blend of wool, acrylic and nylon

Instructions:

Materials: 2 balls of Crystal Palace Yarns "Raggedy":
1 ball A: Sage and 1 ball B: Sage Mix print
and Crystal Palace Bamboo circ. size 13, 26" needles.

Cast on 105 sts LOOSELY (If you have problems doing loose cast-on, then cast on with size 15s and switch to 13s for the knitting.) Think LOOSE while casting on to avoid a bowed edge to the scarf.

Rows 1 & 2: Garter st (knit) in color A.
Change to color B.
Row 3: (K1, wrap 2x around needle) repeat to end of row, ending K1.
Row 4: K1, (slip off the 2 wrapped loops using tip of right needle, K1), repeat to end of row, ending K1.
(Note: while knitting Row 4, give a slight tug as you go along every few inches to pull the dropped wraps open a little.)

Repeat these 4 rows twice more.

Repeat Rows 1 & 2 to form edge.

Bind of LOOSELY (again, use 15s if you have a tendency to bind off too tightly).

Raggedy is slightly elastic so you can gently pull the edges of the scarf to straighten it.

Note: if you wish to add fringe as we did on sample, when you change from A to B, knot the change and leave 4-5" of yarn. Then add a fringe when finished from leftover yarn along each end.
