Note: Resulting fabric is rather loose

Size 11 US (8 mm) 35” circular CPY Bamboo needle
Size H CPY Bamboo crochet hook
10 Pony Beads
2 balls
Mikado Ribbon Strawberry Pink #2608
(Color A)
1 ball each: Mikado Ribbon 7304 Rose Quartz Mix (Color B)
Summer Net 3209 Ivory (Color C)
Summer Net 3169 Strawberry (Color D)
Choo-Choo 1777 Grape Soda (Color E)
Choo-Choo 2740 Berry Juice (Color F)
Instructions:
Poncho is worked over the following color sequence:
Color B – CO plus 10 rows
Color C – 4 rows
Color E – 8 rows
Color F – 2 rows
Color D – 4 rows
Color A – 4 rows
Color B – 8 rows
Color C – 6 rows
Color F – 2 rows
Color E – 4 rows
Color A – 6 rows
Color D – 5 rows
Color F – 2 rows
Color C – 1 row
Color B – 5 rows
Color A – 7 rows
Make 2
With Color C, CO 3.
Row 1: k3
Row 2: k1, (p1, k1, p1) in next st, k1 – 5 sts
Row 3: k1, p1, yo, p1, yo, p1, k1 – 7 sts
Row 4: k1, p1, yo, k3, yo, p1, k1 – 9 sts
Row 5: k1, p1, yo, p5, yo, p1, k1 – 11 sts
Row 6: k1, p1,yo, k7, yo, p1, k1 – 13 sts
Cont as established, knitting or purling two more sts between the yo’s on
every row.
On the 4th row of the last Color B stripe, add beads in the following
sequence:
Keeping to pat, k23, *bead, k9; rep from * until you have 10 beads, k rem sts
while keeping to pat.
Add beads as follows:
String beads on yarn before beginning. When you come to the st where you will
add the bead:
• Bring yarn to front of work.
• Slip st on left needle as if to purl.
• Draw up bead and snug up against slipped st, now on the right needle.
• Bring yarn to back of work.
• K next st on left needle tightly.
For the last 7 rows with Color A, work 3 rows as established – 149 sts
Keeping to pat, work 57 sts. Turn. Keeping to pat, work 3 more rows over
these sts only. BO. Cut yarn.
Attach yarn at neck edge. BO 34 sts. Keeping to pat, work 4 rows over rem
sts. BO.
Finishing:
To make X-laced seam:
With RS tog, beg at neck edge with Color B work overcast X’s over 3 sts, 1 st
apart. Work 6 X’s, ¾” in length. Seam remainder of shoulders tog. Repeat
for other shoulder.
For the pink-lilac version here, the shoulders have been seamed together.
With A, work 1 rnd of sc around neck.
With A, work 2 rnds of sc around outside edges, working 3 sc in the four
points.
Weave in ends on WS.
If necessary, wet block and pin to shape.
