free poncho pattern from Crystal Palace Yarns
Choo-Choo Poncho - very easy poncho to knitMaterials: [Note: some knitters find they use a 10-10.5 size needle to get this gauge with Choo-Choo, so check your gauge before beginning.] Directions: Work in Reverse Stockinette (purl side out) for three rows, then Stockinette for three rows. Repeat these 6 rows until you have 31 ridges and valleys (Total 93 rows). Bind off in Rev St. Or, for actual row-by-row description: The reverse stockinette edges are on right side of the garment. Make 2nd rectangle same as first.

Photo at left shows another way to wear the same poncho, with the points turned to the sides.
