Beg-beginning; BO-bind off; CO-cast on, cont - continue; Dec-decrease; K- knit; K2tog- knit 2 stitches together; patt - pattern; psso- pass slip stitch over; sl1-slip 1, SSK- slip 2 stitches one at a time as if to knit, place tip of left needle through the front of these 2 stitches and knit together from this position; Rem- remaining; Rep-repeat; RS-right side; Sts-stitches; WS- wrong side; YO-yarn over

Armhole Shaping:
BO 9 sts at beg of the next row, keep rem sts in pattern as established to last 12 (11) (11) (11) (11) sts, YO, k2, sl1, k1, psso, k2tog, k6 (5) (5) (5) (5) sts; (the last YO is eliminated so that there is not a hole when binding off on next row.
BO 8 sts at beg of next row (this bind off is 1 st less than other armhole bind due to eliminated YO on previous row .)
Cont to work lace pattern rows as established until armhole measures 7.5 (8) (8.5) (9.5) (10)" from armhole bind off, ending with WS row. BO all stitches in K.

Work same as for back, until 5.5 (6) (6) (6.5) (6.5)" above armhole.
Neck and shoulder shaping:
Work in patt to across 12 (15) (17) (21) (24) sts, place on sts holder. Bind off center 18 (19) (22) (25) (28) sts; cont in patt across rem 12 (15) (17) (21) (24) sts.
Left shoulder:
Keeping sts in patt as established, dec 1 st (SSK) at neck edge every RS row 1 (2) (3) (4) (5) times, taking care to discontinue YOs close to neck edge (count sts at end of row after each dec). 11 (13) (15) (17) (19) sts rem. Work even in patt until 7.5 (8) (8.5) (9) (9.5)" above armhole BO, ending with WS row. Bind off remaining sts in K.
Right shoulder:
WS facing; slip stitches from holder onto needles, join ball of yarn at neck edge and work in patt. Reverse shaping, working dec as k2tog at neck edge.

Sleeves:  (Make 2)
Note: The sleeve length is written for a length sleeve, which is just above elbow; it may be shortened or lengthened as desired. If lengthening additional yarn may be necessary.
CO 51 (58) (58) (67) (69) sts.
Foundation Row: K1, purl to last st, k1.
Begin Lace Leaf Pattern for sleeves, rep these 4 rows for 9 (9.5) (9.5) (10) (10) ", OR desired length; ending with a WS row. BO all sts in knit.

Block by spraying with water and pinning pieces out to measurements, let dry completely. Seam shoulders. Sew top of sleeve to straight edges of armholes. Sew sides of sleeves to bound-off armhole stitches. Sew side and sleeve seams.
Neckline Trim:

Using Crochet hook, beg at left shoulder, work 1 round slip st around entire neck edge; at end of round join to 1st slip stitch, chain 1 and work another round of slip stitch staying in sts above previous round (you will actually be working into same neck edge stitches that you did when working first round). Fasten off. Work in all ends.
