1 - 50 gr ball Crystal Palace Yarns
Mikado Ribbon, color #2679 "lime"
sewing needle and thread
40 6mm glass beads
U.S. size 5 (3.5mm) double-pointed bamboo needles
U.S. size 7 (4.5mm) double-pointed bamboo needles
Gauge: 22 sts = 4" over St st on size-7 needles
One Size fits most wrists. For larger wrists add 1-2 sts in K section between
beaded lace sections.
To thread Mikado Ribbon with beads, proceed as follows:
[Note: test your sewing needle to make sure it will go through the hole
in the beads you are using.]
Thread sewing needle with a fine thread. Tie thread to yarn, leaving about 3" at
end of the yarn. Thread bead onto sewing needle and then onto yarn, pushing the
bead farther down the yarn as you add beads. When you have 40 beads on the yarn,
make sure they are far enough down the yarn to avoid being worked in during
cast-on and ribbing.
Note: As you work, it will be necessary to push the beads that are not being
used farther away from the work.
