Fizz-Stardust has a glint of silver metallic fiber or gold metallic fiber in it.
Materials: 8 (9, 10) Deco-Ribbon
col. 316; 2 (3, 3) balls; Whisper
col. 2260; 2 (3, 3) balls; Fizz-Stardust

Crystal Palace Bamboo needles Size 10-1/2
(6.5mm) and 10-3/4 (7mm)
Gauge: 15.75 sts and 22 rows = 4" over St st on larger needles in Stripe
Pat.
[Take the time to check your gauge before beginning knitting. Adjust your needle
size to match gauge required.]
Rib Pattern:
Right Side Rows (RSR): K4 P5
Wrong Side Rows (WSR): work sts as they appear
Stripe Pattern: Worked in St st.
Rows 1 & 2 With Whisper and Fizz-Stardust held together
Rows 3 & 4 with Deco-Ribbon. Repeat these 4 rows for stripe pattern.
Back: With Deco-Ribbon and smaller needle cast of 67 (72, 79) sts.
Row 1 of Rib pattern for size 34 *K4, P5* P4, for size 37 *K4,
P5*, for size 40 K1 P5 *K4, P5* K1. Repeat bet *s.
Work in rib pattern for 2" then change to larger size needles and work for a
further 4" in rib. After 6" of ribbing is complete begin Stripe Pattern in
St.st. work until piece is 11-1/2 (12, 12-1/2)".
Shape arm opening: Bind off 3 sts at the beginning of the next two rows,
then decrease 1 st every RSR 3 times. When arm opening is 7-1/2 (8, 8-1/2)" knit
across 12 (14, 17) sts, bind off 32 (32, 33) sts, knit rem sts. Put shoulder sts
on a holder to be worked in a three needle bind off with the front shoulders.
Front: Work as for back UNTIL 2-1/2" before last shoulder row.
Neck shaping: bind off center 24 (24, 25) sts. Attach yarn for knitting
both sides of neck. Bind off 3 sts at each neck edge once, decrease 1 st at each
neck edge once. Work until front length matches back. Put shoulder sts on holder
for three needle bind off.
Sleeves: With Deco-Ribbon and larger needle cast on 48 (52, 56) sts.
Work 1 row in Deco-Ribbon then begin Stripe Pattern. Increase 1 st each side
every 4th row 2 times. When work is 2-1/2" begin cap shaping: Bind off 3
sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows. Decrease 1 st each side every other row
10 (12,14) times, bind off 2 st at the beginning of the next 2 rows, 3 sts at
the beginning of the next 4 rows, bind off remaining sts.
Finishing: Put the shoulder sts of the front and back pieces on
separate needles and with a 3rd needle, right sides facing, knit 1 st from each
needle and bind off as usual.
Neck: Pick up approximately 78 sts and purl 1 row then bind off purl
wise. Sew in sleeves.
