PATTERN STITCH
Long version: Right side row *K2, P1* end P2 always knit through the
back of the st on the RSR. On the wrong side, rows knit the knit and purl

Short version: Right side row *K3, P1* end P3 always knit through the
back of the st on the RSR .On the wrong side rows knit the knit and purl the
purl sts.(Note: If you knit in the continental style and
normally knit into the back of the stitch then knit into the front of your
st. It is important to twist these sts so that the rib will stay in place
when we drop the purl sts.)
BACK
Long version: with black/gold Deco Stardust cast on 59 (59, 62, 65,
68, 71) sts and work in rib pattern until piece measures 16 1/2”ending wrong
side row. On the next RSR knit across dropping all the purl sts, at the same
time take the 1st bar remaining from dropping the purl sts, wrap it around
the left hand needle, and knit into the front and back of the st. Thus
making two sts where one purl st was before. On the next WSR purl. On the
Next RSR change to Deco Stardust gold and working the rest of the body in
stockinette st, dec 13 (10, 10, 6, 10, 10) sts evenly across row [64 (68,
72, 76, 80, 84) sts]. Work for 3 ½”from the top of the 1st dropped st.

row. Work for 3 ½” from the top of the 1st dropped st.

Bind off 2 (3, 4, 4, 4, 5) sts at the beginning of the next two rows. Then
dec 1 st each arm edge every RSR 1 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) times. Work until armhole
is 7” ending WSR.
Neck shaping
Bind off center 22 (24,24,24,24,24) sts then on the next RSR dec 1 st each
neck edge and on the following RSR bind off remaining sts.

time.

When the armhole is the same length as the back armhole bind off the
remaining sts.
