Back
CO 99 (111, 120) sts.
Rep Rows 1-4 of Chart A 11 times, then Rows 1 and 2. Piece will measure approx
5.5” from beg.
Begin shaping:
Change to St st. Dec 1 st each end every 4th (6th, 6th) row 4
times (91, 103, 112 sts). Inc 1 st each end every 4th (6th, 6th) row 4 times
(99, 111, 120 sts). Work even until piece measures 11 (13, 13)” from beg.
Armhole Shaping:
BO 5 sts beg next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st each end every other row 5 (7, 5) times (79, 87, 100 sts). Work even
until piece measures 18½ (21½ , 22)“ from beg.
Shape Shoulders:
BO 4 (4, 5) sts beg of next 4 rows.
BO 3 (5, 5) sts beg of next 2 rows.
BO 57 (61, 62) sts for back neck.
Front
CO 102 (114, 124) sts.
Keeping the first and last 2 (2, 1) sts of each row in St st, rep Rows 1-4 of
Chart A 11 times, then Rows 1 and 2 over first and last 35 (41, 46) sts. Work
Chart B over center 31 sts and pm before and after these sts. Piece will measure
approx 5.5” from beg.
Begin shaping:
Change to St st over first and last 35 (41, 46) sts while cont to
work Chart B over center 31 sts. Dec 1 st each end every 4th (6th, 6th) row 4
times (94, 106, 116 sts) Inc 1 st each end every 4th (6th, 6th) row 4 times
(102, 114, 124 sts).
Work even until piece measures 11 (13, 13)” from beg.
Armhole Shaping:
BO 5 sts beg next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st each end every other row 5 (7, 5) times (82, 90, 104 sts).
Neck Shaping:
When piece measures 16½ (18½, 19)” from beg, work to center 30
sts, attach another ball of yarn, BO center 30 sts, complete row.
Working both sides at the same time, at neck edge BO 3 (5, 4) sts, then BO 2 (2,
3) sts every other row 6 times.
Work even until piece measures 18½ (21½ , 22)“ from beg.
Shape Shoulders:
Work shoulder shaping at shoulder edge same as Back.
Sleeves
CO 59 (65, 71) sts.
Sleeve Shaping:
Keeping first and last st in St st, working Chart A and keeping to pat, inc 1 st
each end every 4th row 6 (5, 7) times, then every other row 3 (5, 2) times (77,
85, 89 sts).
Cap Shaping:
Keeping to pat, BO 5 sts beg next 2 rows.
Dec 1 st each end every other row 26 (30, 32) times.
Neck Band
Seam right shoulder. Pick up 131 (134, 134) sts around neck edge.
Keeping first and last st in St st, work Rows 1-4 of Chart A, then Rows 1 and 2.
BO.
Finishing
Seam other shoulder and neck band. Sew in sleeves. Seam sleeves
and side seams.
Weave in ends on WS.
