Bunny Hop Socks - Eyelet Tops

Size: Women’s S-M (6-7) – (8-9)
Materials: 2 - 50 gr. balls Crystal Palace Bunny Hop (shown in color #9809 Fall Herbs)
Crystal Palace Bamboo Double-Pointed Needles US #5 (or size needed to obtain gauge)Gauge: 5 sts=1” (20 sts/10 cm) in St st
Abbreviations:
CO=cast on
K=knit
P=purl
K2tog=knit 2 sts together
Psso=pass the slipped st over
P2sso=pass the 2 slipped sts over
Rnd=round
Sl 1= slip 1 st
Sl 1 knitwise= slip 1 st as if to knit it
Sl 2 tog knitwise=slip 2 sts together as if you were going to knit them together
St st= Stockinette stitch
Yo=yarn overSocks (Make 2):
CO 42 sts on double-pointed needles. (14 st on each needle).
Work k2 x p1 rib for 9 rnds.Leg:
Rnd 1: Knit
Rnd 2: Knit
Rnd 3: (k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl1 knitwise, k1, psso, k1) 6x.
Repeat these 3 rnds until piece measures 7” from beginning, ending on Rnd 2.
Begin heel.Heel (worked over 21 sts):
Distribute sts so that the first 21 sts are all on the first needle.
(Here you will be decreasing the heel by doing short rows.)
Row 1: sl 1, k19, turn.
Row 2: sl 1, p18, turn.
Row 3: sl 1, k17, turn.
Row 4: sl 1, p16, turn.
Row 5: sl 1, k15, turn.
Row 6: sl 1, p14, turn.
Row 7: sl 1, k13, turn.
Row 8: sl 1, p12, turn.
Row 9: sl 1, k11, turn.
Row 10: sl 1, p10, turn.
Row 11: sl 1, k9, turn.
Row 12: sl 1, p8, turn.(Here you will be increasing heel.)
Row 13: sl 1, k9, turn.
Row 14: sl 1, p10, turn.
Row 15: sl 1, k11, turn.
Row 16: sl 1, p12, turn.
Row 17: sl 1, k13, turn.
Row 18: sl 1, p14, turn.
Row 19: sl 1, k15, turn.
Row 20: sl 1, p16, turn.
Row 21: sl 1, k17, turn.
Row 22: sl 1, p18, turn.
Row 23: sl 1, k19, turn.
Row 24: sl 1, p20, turn.
Redistribute your sts evenly over 3 needles. Change back to working in the round. Work one rnd as follows:Sl 1, k20, (k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl 1 knitwise, k1, psso, k1) 3x.
Then work the following 3 rnds until foot measures 2.25” less than desired length:Foot:
Rnd 1: Knit
Rnd 2: Knit
Rnd 3: K21, (k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, sl1 knitwise, k1, psso, k1) 3x.
When foot measures 2.25” less than desired length, begin toe.Toe:
Rnd 1: (k1, sl 1 knitwise, k1, psso, k15, k2tog, k1) 2x.
Rnd 2: Knit
Rnd 3: Knit
Rnd 4: Knit
Rnd 5: (k1, sl 1 knitwise, k1, psso, k13, k2tog, k1) 2x.
Rnd 6: Knit
Rnd 7: Knit
Rnd 8: (k1, sl 1 knitwise, k1, psso, k11, k2tog, k1) 2x.
Rnd 9: Knit
Rnd 10: (k1, sl 1 knitwise, k1, psso, k9, k2tog, k1) 2x.
Rnd 11: Knit
Rnd 12: (k1, sl 1 knitwise, k1, psso, k7, k2tog, k1) 2x.
Rnd 13: Knit
Rnd 14: (k1, sl 1 knitwise, k1, psso, k5, k2tog, k1) 2x.
Rnd 15: (k1, sl 1 knitwise, k1, psso, k3, k2tog, k1) 2x.
Rnd 16: (k1, sl 1 knitwise, k1, psso, k1, k2tog, k1) 2x.
Rnd 17: (k1, sl 2tog as if to knit, k1, p2sso, k1) 2x.Sew up rem 6 sts. Weave in all ends. Make second sock as for first.
