Sleeve Length: 16.5 (17.5) (18)"

Sleeve Width at upper arm: 14.25 (15.5) (17)"

Materials:
Crystal Palace Deco-Ribbon = A #9539 Maple Leaves: 4 (5) (6) 50 gr. balls
Crystal Palace Blippity = B #432, Strawberries/Limes: 4 (4) (5) 50 gr. balls 
Crystal Palace Bamboo Needles or Daisy Needles:
Size US 10-1/2 (6.5mm) 26" circular OR Size to obtain gauge
4 split ring markers

Gauge:
14 sts = 4 inches and 22 rows = 4 inches, slightly stretched. This garment is knit sideways from cuff to cuff in one piece.

* Be sure to make a gauge swatch before beginning project. *

Abbreviations:
Beg-beginning; BO-bind off; CO-cast on; Dec-decrease; inc-increase; K- knit; K2tog- knit 2 stitches together; pm-place marker; PU-pick up; Rep-repeat; RS-right side; SSK- slip slip knit St(s)-stitch (es); WS- wrong side.

STRIPE PATTERN:
Row 1: (A) Knit
Row 2: (A) Purl
Row 3: (B) Knit
Row 4: (B) Knit
Rep these 4 rows for stripe pattern through out pattern. Carry unused color loosely up the side at the end of the row.

Left Sleeve:
Using size 10-1/2 needle and A, CO32 (34) (36) sts. Knit 2 rows then begin working in stripe pattern. Work 4 rows in Stripe pattern. Continuing to work in Stripe Pattern; increase 1 st at each end of next row as follows: K into front and back of 1st stitch, knit to last stitch, k into front and back of last stitch. Rep increase rows every 6 rows 0 (0) (2) times; every 8 rows; 3 (1) (10) times and every 10 rows 6 (8) (0) times. 52 (54) (60) sts. Sleeve should measure 16.5 (17.25) (18)", when laying flat, slightly stretched, with sleeve width measuring 14.75 (15.5) (17)". Place split ring marker at beginning and end of row. Make a note which row of stripe pattern the last increase was made, so when you begin decreases for right sleeve the 1st Dec will be on that same stripe pattern row.

Body:
Work even in stitch pattern for 18.5 (19) (20)" from stitch marker; Until piece measures approximately 35 (36.25) (38)" from CO edge. You may add more or less width if you have broad or narrow shoulder or are in between sizes. Measure with garment flat slightly stretched.

This garment has a lot of give to it so when laying flat make sure that you are measuring with the width of the garment at 14.75 (15.5) (17)". End ready to begin Dec on same row as marked for last increase on left sleeve. Place split ring marker at beginning and end of row.

Right Sleeve: [edited to correct Feb. 11, 2006]
Decrease 1 st at each end as follows: SSK, knit to last 2 sts, k2 tog.
Rep Dec every 10 rows 6 (8) (0) times; every 8 rows 3 (1) (10) times; every 6 rows 0 (0) (2) times. 32 (34) (36) sts. Work 5 rows even in stripe pattern. Continuing to use color A; purl 2 rows. Bind Off all sts in purl.

Finishing:
Fold piece in half lengthwise, using A, sew sleeve seam from bottom of sleeve to marker. Repeat for other sleeve. Work in all ends. Apply trim.

Trim:
RS facing, Using A, beginning at sleeve seam, *PU 1 stitch in each Deco row; skip Blippity ridge stitches and rep around. There will be 2 stitches picked up in between each Blippity ridge all the way around. Purl 1 round, Knit 1 round. BO Loosely in Purl.
