circular size 10 and 1 pair size 8 needles and 9 small buttons
Abbreviations:
Beg-beginning; BO-bind off; CO-cast on; Dec-decrease;
inc-increase; K- knit;
K2tog- knit 2 stitches together; pm-place marker; psso- pass slip stitch over; PU-pick
up; Rem- remaining; Rep-repeat; St st-stockinette stitch WS- wrong side; YO-yarn
over.

14 sts and 24 rows = 4”

Back
With color 1404 Cotton Chenille CO 60 (64, 68, 71, 75) sts and beginning on
the WS knit the first row. Then continue in St st until the back is 11 ½,
(11 ½, 12, 12, 13)” long.
Armhole Shaping: BO 4 (5, 5, 5, 5) sts at each arm edge then dec 1 st
every other row at the arm edge 2 (3, 3, 4, 4) times. When the arm opening
is 9” BO all sts.
Right Front
With green Cotton Chenille CO 30 (32, 34, 35, 37) sts and work the same as
for the back except shaping the arm only on one side. Work until the piece
is 17 ½ (17 ½, 18. 18. 19)” long and then begin Neck Shaping bind off
7 sts at the neck edge then dec 1 st every other row 4 (4, 4, 4, 4) times. K
until the front and the back are the same length and then BO all sts.
Left Front
With pink Cotton Chenille cast on the same number of sts as you did for the
right front. K the same as the right front only reversing all shaping.
Finishing
Sew shoulder seams and side seams. For arm edges, with right sides
facing, PU up with a 16” circular needle, approximately 75 – 80 sts and K 1
row then BO purl wise. For the front bands with the right sides facing PU
approximately 79 sts, P1 row, K1 row, then bind off purl wise. For
the button band, make buttonholes on the first row by K2tog-YO over spacing
them evenly along the front.
Hood
With Blippity and a #8 needle and right side facing PU sts around the neck
starting after the 7 sts that were bound off and ending just before the 7
sts that were bound off on the other side. Working in St st. K 3 rows then
on the fourth row change to a #10 needle and increase to 70 sts increasing
evenly across row. Knit until the hood is approx. 14” long. BO all sts. Then
with right sides facing fold the hood in half and sew the bound off edge
together .
