Materials
Color A: 5 skeins Crystal Palace Puffin (here #2129 "leaves & sprouts")
Color B: 4 skeins Crystal Palace Puffin  (here #207 "peapod")
Size 13 - 26" circular needle
Size K crochet hook for border

Gauge: 12 sts - 4" in garter st

Size: 30" x 30" inches

Abbreviations:
ch 1-chain 1 crochet st; cont-continue; inc-increase; k2tog-knit 2 together; psso-pass slip st over; rep-repeat; sc-single chain crochet; st(s)-stitch(es)

Note: This blanket was designed to be finished with a simple crochet border. It would also be possible to pick up and knit a border if you do not want to crochet it.

Instructions

Using Color A, cast on 2 sts.
Row 1: Inc in first st, K1.
Row 2: K1, increase in next st, K to end.
Rep row 2 until there are 65 sts in needle.
Beg dec: K to last 3 sts, K2 tog, K1. Rep this row until 3 sts remain.
Last row: Sl 1, K2 tog, psso. Bind off loosely.
Make 3 more triangle blocks in the same manner.

Rep using Color B, making 4 triangle blocks.

Sew the 8 blocks together as shown in the photo.

Border: Using Color A and crochet hook, join yarn with slip st in any corner. Ch 1, sc in same place,
sc in the ditch between ridges all around, working (sc, ch 1, sc) in corners. End sc in same space as beg sc, ch 1. Join with sl st to beginning sc. Ch 1, sc in each sc around, working (sc, ch 1, sc) in corner spaces. Fasten off.
