Bunny Hop Baby Hat

A lovely hat for babies for the coming winter! And made with just one ball.
Materials
1 50 gr ball Bunny
Hop, #2302 “Baby Blues”.
Bunny Hop is a blend of microfibers and 8% angora, see
colors by clicking link Bunny Hop.
1 set Crystal Palace
Bamboo Double Pointed Needles US size #2
1 tapestry needle.
Gauge: 6 stitches per inch, using k2 p2 rib.
This pattern is written in two sizes, the smallest is for 0-6 months, the larger for 6-12 months.
Abbreviations:
K = knit; P = purl
K2 tog = knit 2 together; P2 tog = purl 2 together
Ssk = slip, slip, knit; YO = yarn over
Yarn over stitches - are knitted in the next round, until mentioned otherwise.
Instructions
Cast on: 84 (96) stitches. Divide these stitches equally over 3 needles. Join,
be careful not to twist. On each needle: 28 (32) stitches.
Cuff pattern:
Round 1: Knit entire round.
Round 2: *k2tog, yo, yo, ssk* (repeat from * to *)
Repeat round 1 and 2 an additional 5 times, followed by another round 1.
Purl 1 round.
Ribbing:
K2, P2 for 4 (5) inches, [10 (12 ½) cm] measured from the cuff. (The total length
will be 5 ¾ inch/6 ¾ inch [14 (17)cm] ).
Turn the hat inside-out.
Decreases:
Round 1: k2, p2tog. Repeat until end.
Round 2: k1, k2tog. Repeat until end.
Round 3: k 2 tog. Repeat until end.
Round 4: k 2 tog. Repeat until end.
Round 5: k 2 tog. Repeat until end.
Cut yarn at approximately 6 inches (15 cm) from work. With help of the
tapestry needle, pull thread through remaining stitches. Secure stitches on the
inside, work away threads. Fold cuff back, so the pattern will become visible.
