Materials: 3 (3, 4) 50 gr balls Crystal Palace Bamboozle
(55% bamboo, 24% cotton, 21% elastic nylon - 90 yds in a 50 gram skein)

Size US 7 (4.5 mm) and size US 9 (5.5 mm) knitting needles
Stitch Holders
6 - 5/8” buttons

Gauge: 4 ½ sts = 1” in stockinette stitch on size 9 needles

Beg: Beginning
CO: Cast On
K: Knit
K2tog: Knit 2 together

St St: Stockinette Stitch – K the right side rows and P the wrong side rows

Directions:

Back: With smaller needles, CO 46 (50, 54) sts.
Row 1 (RS): * K 1, P 1, rept from * to end of row.
Row 2 (WS): * P 1, K 1, rept from * to end of row.
Rept these two rows twice more. Change to larger needles and work in St St until piece measures 10” (11”, 12”) from beg, ending with a WS row. K 14 (15, 16) sts and place on holder for right shoulder. BO center 18 (20, 22) sts. K to end of row and place these 14 (15, 16) sts on holder for left shoulder.

Left Front: With smaller needles, CO 33 (35, 37) sts.
Row 1 (RS): * K 1, P 1, rept from * to end of row.
Rept this row five times more. Change to larger needles.
Next row (RS): K 13 (15, 17) sts, PM, *P 1, K 1, rept from * to end of row.
Next row (WS): * K 1, P 1, rept from * to marker, P to end of row.
Continue in pattern as established until piece measures 8½” (9½”, 10½”) from beg, ending with a RS row.
Next row (WS): Work 15 (16, 17) sts in pattern, and place these sts on holder for front neck. Continue in pattern to end of row. Maintaining pattern as established, BO 2 sts at beg of next 2 WS rows. When same length as back to shoulder, place remaining 14 (15, 16) sts on holder for shoulder.

Right Front: With smaller needles, CO 33 (35, 37) sts.
Row 1 (WS): * K 1, P 1, rept from * to end of row.
Rept this row five times more. Change to larger needles.
Next row (WS): P 13 (15, 17) sts, PM, *P 1, K 1, rept from * to end of row.
Next row (RS): * K 1, P 1, rept from * to marker, K to end of row.
Continue in pattern as established until piece measures 5½” (6½”, 7½”) from beg, ending with a WS row.
Buttonhole Row (RS): K 1, P 1, K 1, YO, K2tog, (P 1, K 1) 5 times, YO, K2tog, P 1, K 1, P 1, sl marker, K to end of row.
Work 7 rows in pattern as established. Repeat Buttonhole row. Work 7 rows in pattern as established.
Next row (RS): Work 15 (16, 17) sts in pattern, and place these sts on holder for front neck. Continue in pattern to end of row. Maintaining pattern as established, BO 2 sts at beg of next 2 RS rows. When same length as back to shoulder, place remaining 14 (15, 16) sts on holder for shoulder.

Join Fronts to Back at shoulders using 3-needle bind off.

Neckband: Using smaller needle, place 15 (16, 17) sts from right front neck holder onto needle, join yarn at front edge, and work in seed st as established. Pick up and knit 10 sts along right front neck edge, then pick up and knit 20 (22, 24) sts along back neck edge, then pick up and knit 10 sts along left front neck edge. Place 15 (16, 17) sts from left front neck holder onto another needle, and work in seed st as established – 70 (74, 78) sts.
Next row (WS): * K 1, P 1, rept from * to end of row.
Next row – Buttonhole row (RS): K 1, P 1, K 1, YO, K2tog, (P 1, K 1) 5 times, YO, K2tog, * P 1, K 1, rept from * to end of row.
Work 3 more rows in pattern as established. BO.

Sleeves: On one side, place markers 4” (4¼”, 4½”) down from shoulder seam on front and back. Using larger needles, Pick up and knit 36 (38, 40) sts between markers.
Row 1 (WS): * K 1, P 1, rept from * to end of row
Row 2 (RS): * P 1, K 1, rept from * to end of row
Rept these two rows for pattern.
Continue in pattern, decr 1 st at beg and end of every 4th (6th, 6th) row 6 times – 24 (26, 28) sts. Change to smaller needle and work 6 more rows in pattern. BO loosely.
Repeat for other side.
Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew buttons opposite buttonholes
