Cable Stitches:
3-3 Cable Left Crossing: Move 3 sts to cable needle and hold in front of
work, K3 from left hand needle, K3 from cable needle.
3-3 Cable Right Crossing: Move 3 sts to cable needle and hold in back of
work, K3 sts from left hand needle, K3 from cable needle.
Back
CO 84 (92, 102, 110) sts. Work 6 (10, 15, 19) sts in Rev St
st, work 72 sts of chart beg with Row 1, work 6 (10, 15, 19) sts in Rev
St st.
Cont as established, dec 1 st each end on Row 10, then every 8th row 3 times.
Then inc 1 st each end every 8th row 3 times, then every 6th row 1 time. Work
even until piece measures 11” from beg.
Shape Armhole
BO 4 sts beg next 2 rows. Sl1, k1, p1, k1, p1, ssk, work in St st to last 6 sts,
k2tog, p1, k1, p1, k1, sl1. Cont in this manner, decreasing 3 (4, 5, 6)
additional rows – 68 (74, 82, 88) sts
Cont in pat as estab until armhole measures 7 (7½, 8, 8½ )”.
Shape Shoulders And Neck
BO 6 (7, 8, 9) sts, dec 1 st. Place rem sts on holder. Work one row. BO 6 (8,
9,10) sts, k2tog last two sts.
Place sts from holder on needle and BO 40 (42, 44, 46) sts for back of neck.
Work rem shoulder sts same.
Front
Work same as Back until armhole measures approx 5 (5½, 6, 6½)”.
Keeping to pat, work 26 (29, 31, 33) sts. Attach 2nd ball of yarn and BO center
16 (16, 20, 22) sts for neck, then work last 26 (29, 31, 33) sts, keeping to
pat.
Working both sides at the same time, BO 3 sts at neck edge every other row 2
times, then BO 2 sts at neck edge every other row 4 times. Work until measures
same as Back.
BO 6 (7, 8, 9) sts beg next 2 rows, then BO 6 (8, 9,10) sts beg next 2 rows.
Collar
With RS facing and circular needles, pick up 86 (88, 94, 98) sts
along neck. Join and knit 6 rows. BO.
Finishing
Seam sides. Weave in ends on WS.
