Deco-Stardust + Whisper Knit Scarf
Easy & Fast to Knit Makes a 66" scarf[Note: Deco-Stardust is a new CPY yarn for Spring '05 - Sample card will be up soon. It's a 55% soft metallic fiber ribbon. There will be a wide range of colors available. Deco-Stardust will begin arriving in 12/04.]
Materials:
1-50 gr. ball of Deco-Stardust and 1-50 gr. ball of Whisper
For the scarf shown: Deco-Stardust #4442 "copper glow", Whisper #2262 "soft rose"Size 17 10" CPY Daisy Needles
To knit scarf:
Loosely cast on 12 sts.
Rows 1-4: Garter st (knit all rows)
Row 5: (K1, wrap 2x around needle) repeat to end of row, ending K1.
Row 6: K1, (slip off the 2 wrapped loops using tip of right needle, K1), repeat to end of row, ending K1.
(Note: While knitting row 6, give a slight tug as you go along every few stitches to pull the dropped wraps open a into vertical bars.)
Rows 7-9: Garter st (knit all rows)Repeat these 9 rows until you run out of yarn, ending with Rows 1-4 in garter st.
You may want to block your scarf. Dampen or spray with a plant mister and blot in towel to remove excess water.
