Gauge: 22 sts & 30 rows = 4" in Stitch pattern.
For correct sizing, be sure to work a gauge swatch.

Size: S (M, L, XL, 1X)
Finished Bust Measurements: 37 1/2 (41-3/4, 44, 46-1/4, 50-1/2)"
Finished Length: 20 3/4 (21, 22, 22-1/2, 23-1/2)"

Materials:
Panda Silk DK (bamboo-SW wool-silk) 9 (10, 11, 13, 15) 50 gr. balls; Color #1012 "meadow mist"
Crystal Palace Bamboo Needle 35" Circular US size 5 (3.75 mm)
Optional Knit trim- US size 4 (3.5 mm) 16" and 35" circular; 2 size 5 double pointed needle for optional knit I -cord tie and knit picot bind off
Notions:
2 large stitch holders; stitch marker if working optional knitted trim; US size C Crochet hook for crochet trim; cable needle

Abbreviations:
BO-bind off; beg-begin (ning), CB6-place 3 sts on cable needle, hold to front, knit 3 sts on left needle, k 3 sts from cable needle; Ch-chain; CO-cast on; Dec-decrease; Inc-increase; k-knit; K2tog-knit 2 stitches together; PU-pick up; p-purl; rem- remaining; RS-right side; sc-single crochet; sp-space; St(s)-stitch (es); St st-Stockinette stitch; WS-wrong side; YO-yarn over.

Body
Worked in one piece to armhole.
Using size 5 needle, CO 206 (230, 254, 278, 302) sts. Work 2 rows Stockinette. Begin working from Chart pattern or written out in rows as follows:

Rows 1 and 9 (RS): K1, *K6, (YO, K2tog) 3 times; rep from * 17 (19, 21, 23, 25) times; K1.
Rows 2 and all even rows (WS): Purl.
Rows 3 and 7: K1; *K6, (K2tog, YO) 3 times; rep from * 17 (19, 21, 23, 25) times; K1.
Row 5: K1; *CB 6, (YO, K2tog) 3 times; rep from * 17 (19, 21, 23, 25) times; K1.
Rows 11 and 19: K1; *(YO, K2tog) 3 times; K6; rep from * 17 (19, 21, 23, 25) times; K1.
Rows 13 and 17: K1; *(K2tog, YO) 3 times; K6; rep from * 17 (19, 21, 23, 25) times; K1.
Row 15: K1; * (YO, K2tog) 3 times; CB 6; rep from * 17 (19, 21, 23, 25) times; K1.
Row 20: Purl.
Repeat rows 1-20 for pattern, until piece measures 11-1/2 (11-1/2, 12, 12, 12-1/2)" from CO edge; end after working WS row.

Divide for fronts and back
Continuing to work in pattern as established.
Note: Work decreased sts into stitch pattern, keeping sts in St st when not enough sts left to work patt.
Work across 47 (51, 57, 62, 67) sts of right front, place sts on holder, BO 8 (12, 12, 14, 16) work across 96 (104, 116, 126, 136) sts for back, BO 8 (12, 12, 14, 16). Work across rem sts place rem 47 (51, 57, 62, 67) sts on holder for left front.
Back Armhole Shaping
WS facing, join yarn at armhole edge, work 1 row even. BO 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Dec 1 st at each end every other row 3 (4, 6, 8, 9) times and every 4 rows 1 (2, 3, 3, 4) times―84 (88, 94, 100, 106) sts. Inc 1 st at each end every 18 (18, 20, 20, 22) rows 2 times―88 (92, 98, 104, 110) sts. Work even in pattern until armhole measures 8 3/4 (9, 9 1/2, 10, 10 1/2)".
Shoulder and Neck Shaping
BO 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) sts at the beg of next 4 rows and 5 (6, 6, 7, 7) sts at the beg of next 4 rows, join 2nd ball of yarn, working both sides at the same time; BO 34 (34, 36, 38, 40) center sts; BO 3 (3, 3, 3,) sts at each neck edge 1 time, 2 sts at each neck edge 2 times.

Left Front
WS facing, join yarn and work across 47 (51, 57, 62, 67) sts from left front holder.
Armhole
BO 2 sts at beg of next row. Dec 1 st at armhole edge every other row 3 (4, 6, 8, 12) times and every 4 rows 1 (2, 2, 3, 0) times―40 (42, 46, 48, 52 sts. Inc 1 st at each end every 18 rows 2 times―42 (44, 48, 50,54) sts AT THE SAME TIME when armhole measures 6 (6, 6 1/2, 6 1/2, 7) " (end after working RS row), begin neck shaping.
Shape Neck
BO 8 (8, 10, 10, 10) sts at neck edge. BO 3 sts at neck edge every other row 2 times, 2 sts every other row 2 times, 1 st every other row 3 times and 1 st every 4 rows 1 (1, 1, 1, 2) times. AT THE SAME TIME when armhole measures same as for the back begin shoulder shaping.
Shape Shoulders
BO 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) sts at the beg of next 2 rows and 5 (6, 6, 7, 7) sts at the beg of next 2 rows.

Right Front
WS facing join yarn work across 47 (51, 57, 62, 67) sts from right front holder. Work same as for left front reverse all shaping.

Finishing
Sew shoulder seams. Work crochet trim and tie; OR optional knitted picot trim and i-cord tie. Thread tie through trim at neck edge.

Outside Edge
RS facing, using crochet hook, beg at lower back edge, 51 (56, 62, 68, 74) sts in from the left side edge (where side seam would be if not worked in one piece). Join yarn.
Rnd 1: Work 123 (139, 154. 167, 180) sc across bottom to right front edge, 78 (82. 86, 90, 94) sc along right front to neck edge, 32 (34, 34, 36, 38) sc to shoulder, 45 (45, 48, 48, 50) sc across back to left shoulder, 32 (34, 34, 36, 38) sc to neck edge, 78 (82. 86, 90. 94) sc along left front, work 40 (44, 50, 53. 58) sc across left bottom join with slip st to beg rnd―428 (460, 496, 520, 552) sc.
Rnd 2: *Ch3, skip next sc, sc in next sc; rep from * to end of rnd. Join with slip st to beg of rnd.
Rnd 3: Ch1 * in next ch3 space work sc, ch3, yo draw up loop (you will have 3 loops on hook), yo pull yarn through 2 loops (2 loops remain on hook), yo draw up loop (4 loops on hook), yo pull yarn through 2 loops (3 loops on hook), yo draw yarn through remaining 3 loop (cluster made); ch 1 rep from * to end of rnd. Ch2, slip st to sc at beg of rnd. Fasten off.
Armhole Edge

RS facing, beg at underarm
Rnd 1: Work 96 (104, 112, 120, 128) sc around armhole.
Rnd 2 and 3: Same as for outside edge.

Crocheted Tie
Ch 2, slip st in 2nd ch from hook, *without turning hook rotate work to the left, sc down into st on the left; rep from * for 30". See diagram.

Optional Knit Trim and Picot Bind Off
Outside Edge
RS facing, using size 4 circular needle, beg at, lower back edge, 50 (55, 61, 67, 73) sts in from the left side edge (where side seam would be if not worked in one piece). Join yarn.
Pick up 123 (139, 154. 167, 180) sts across bottom to right front edge, 78 (82. 86, 90, 94) sts along right front to neck edge, 32 (34, 34, 36, 38) sts to shoulder, 45 (45, 48, 48, 50) sts across back to left shoulder, 32 (34, 34, 36, 38) sts to neck edge, 78 (82. 86, 90, 94) sts along left front, work 40 (44, 50, 53, 58) sts across left bottom rnd―428 (460, 496, 520, 552) sts. Place marker, join into rnd. Purl 1 rnd; knit 1 rnd. Work Picot Bind Off.
How to work picot bind off:
Using the one size 5 needle knit the st on the right needle and slip it back to left needle (you have made a new st). Rep this once more, two sts made. Now bind off 4 sts and slip remaining st from right to left needle. Rep this process of making 2 new sts then binding off 4 sts across all remaining sts.
Armhole Edge
Using size 4 16" needle, RS facing, beg at underarm pick up 96 (104, 112, 120, 128) sts around armhole. Work same as for outside edge.

Square I-cord Tie
Using double pointed needles, CO 3 sts. *K1, P1, K1, without turning work slide sts to opposite end of needle, pull yarn firmly across the back; rep from * until cord measures 30", fasten off.
