A soft, lacy wide scarf that works up quickly in an easy lace pattern, with a border of sturdy basketweave. Finished size after blocking is approximately 10" x 70" (25 cm x 178 cm)

Row 3: P4, k3, *p5, k3; rep from * to last 4 sts, P4
Row 4: K4, p3, *K5, P3; rep from * to last 4 sts K4
Row 5: K
Row 6: P3, *K5, P3; rep from * to end
Row 7: K3, *P5, K3, rep from * to end
Row 8: P3, *K5, P3; rep from * to end
Body:
Row 1: K9, place marker, work row 1 of chart three times, place marker, K9.
Row 2: K4, P4, K1, P to last marker, K1, P4, K4
Row 3: P4, K5, work row 3 of chart three times, K9
