"I knitted this shell on circular needles until I reached a few rows below the
armholes and then switched to separate needles. It made the side seems so nice
and neat and the knitting went so fast since I didn't have to switch from knit
to purl every other row."

Abbrv: CO: Cast On, BO: Bind off, RS: Right side, WS:
Wrong side, Dec: Decrease, Stst: Stockinette Stitch,
Gauge: 3˝ st and 5 rows = 1" in Stst. Piece is
worked entirely in stockinette stitch with no finishing edging.
FRONT: CO 69st. Work in Stst for 20 rows. Dec 1
st each side on next row, then on every 10th row 2x. Then inc 1 st each side
every 10th row 3x. Work 5 rows even.
Armhole: BO 4 st at the beg of next 2 rows, then
dec 1 st each side of next 2 RS rows.
Work 17 rows even.
Neck: k11,m1, place marker, k9, BO center 17 st,
k9,place marker, m1, k11. Work left and right sides separately.
Left: While at the same time increasing one st on outer side of marker each RS
row, BO 3 st at beg of next 2 RS rows, then BO 2 st at beg of next 3 RS rows (14
st). BO 2 st on next RS row WITHOUT increasing a stitch at marker. Work 2 rows
even.
Shape shoulders: BO 4 st at beg of next 3 WS
rows.
Right: Shape right side of neck as for left,
reversing shapings as follows:
Join new yarn at center and start on WS. While at the
same time increasing one st on outer side of marker, BO 3 st at beg of next 2 WS
rows, then BO 2 st at beg of next 3 RS rows (14st). BO 2 st on next WS row
WITHOUT increasing a stitch at marker. Work 2 rows even.
Shape shoulders: BO 4 st at beg of next 3 RS
rows.
BACK: Work as for front until armhole shaping
begins.
Armhole: BO 4 st at the beg of next 2 rows, then
dec 1 st each side of next 2 RS rows.
Work 7 rows.
Neck: k11,place marker,k15,BO center 5 st,
k15,place marker,k11. Work left and right sides separately.
Left: BO 3 st at beg of next 2 RS rows, then BO 2 st at beg of next 2 RS rows.
Then, while at the same time increasing one st on outer side of marker on each
RS row, BO 2 st at beg of next 3 RS rows, then dec 1 st at beg of next 3 RS rows
(13 st). Dec 1 st WITHOUT increasing a stitch at marker. Work 2 rows even.
Shape shoulders as for front.
Right: Shape right side of neck as for left,
reversing shapings as follows:
