Bamboozle Wee Bag
just 1 ball of Bamboozle -
a bamboo yarn with cotton + elastic nylon fibers

This fun little, one ball bag, could be a gift holder, a bag for small items, for your iPod, etc. The elastic fiber in Bamboozle makes it stretchy and the bamboo and cotton make it soft.

Materials:
1 ball (50 grams) Crystal Palace Yarns Bamboozle color: 'rosewater'
Crystal Palace Bamboo or DAISY Needle 16" circular needle or Double Point Needles
(I knit with DPs)  size 8 US and size US 6
(If you use I-cord for the cording, you will need 2 DP needles to make the I-cord.)

Gauge: (not crucial) 7.5 sts/inch in 1-1 ribbing (equivalent of 3.75 sts/inch in St st)

Finished Size: approx. 6 inches high x 5 inches wide

Stitches Used
Seed stitch: (on uneven number of stitches)
row 1: k1, p1, k1, p1, ending k1.
row 2: repeat row 1 (that is you are knitting the p's and purling the k's)
1-1 Ribbing (on even number of stitches)
worked in the round, Right Side only: k1, p1 continually

Before Beginning Body of Bag make I-cord for the bag. If you decide to use ribbon or rattail or non-knitted cord for bag. Skip this step.
Using larger DP needles, cast on 3 sts and make I-cord to length of 16 inches.

Knitting the Bag:
Form bottom of bag: With size 8 needles cast on 23 sts and knit in seed  stitch for 38 rows
End with 23 sts on needle.
With size 8 circular or DP needles, pick up 19 sts from next side, then 23 sts, then 19 sts [84 sts]
Join the circle of stitches and begin working in 1-1 Ribbing on 84 sts.
Work 3.75 inches in 1-1 ribbing.
Work 6 rounds in Seed St (knit the p's and purl the k's)
Change to smaller size DPs or circular needle, work one more round of Seed St.
Next row: form eyelets for cord: cont in Seed st, but work 6 sts then YO, k2tog, 6 sts in Seed St, YO, k2tog, cont until you have made 10 eyelet holes, finish rest of round in Seed st
Next row 2 rows: continue to work in Seed St
Bind off.
Decide which edge where bottom of bag meets side ribbing most neatly and make that the outside of your bag. Thread the cord through the 10 eyelet holes and fasten ends of cord together to form a closed loop.
